We are actively involved in:

  • Community development
  • Skills development
  • Business and property development
  • Heritage conservation and property restoration
  • Environmental issues
  • Hospitality and the arts
  • Marketing Prince Albert as the prime destination in the Karoo – a title which is fully deserved

Our professional principles

We are here as facilitators between both the seller and the buyer. We aim to reach a mutually beneficial agreement of sale that ensures a win-win situation for both buyer and seller. We remain involved in the entire process from first viewing to transfer of the property and are on hand to assist both parties at all times. There is NEVER any hard sell. We are in the service business and that is what we deliver.

We work to a strict personal and professional code and uphold ethics, confidentially and integrity throughout all our business dealings.

At all times we practise the Code of Conduct of the Estate Agency Affairs Board.

Elaine Hurford

Elaine is a former Cape Town journalist, PR consultant and author. She moved to Prince Albert in 1994 with two dogs and a cat, planning to sit back and serenely enjoy country life. This was not to be. Within three years she had rescued and renovated a derelict historic farmhouse and turned it into a National Monument and 3-star guesthouse. She and her husband Neill were incurable renovators in Cape Town and Dennehof was an irresistable challenge. At the same time she wrote five hard-cover travel books for Struik Publishers and opened Country Estates in 1998. After selling Dennehof in 2004 she focused all her attention on property, providing an in-depth professional service to buyers and sellers, and continuing to market Prince Albert and the Karoo via freelance journalism and photography. Her track record also includes six years with top sectional title developers in Cape Town bringing her to a total of almost 20 years in the real estate business. Her daughter and two grandchildren live in Cape Town.
