There are two patisseries, two small supermarkets, two butcheries, two café/restaurants and a hotel with a superior restaurant.  More restaurants are within easy reach, and there is a market in the town square every Thursday morning.
Locally produced cheese and wine is close by; the Burgundy and Bordeaux vineyards are less than three hours away, and within a two hour scenic drive there are areas famous for foie gras and truffles, the cheese-producing areas of Auvergne and the riches of the Loire Valley. And, most conveniently, Boussac is just 90 minutes from Limoges airport with 10 return flights to the UK each week.

The entrance hall is flanked by a large lounge, a dining room, a winter kitchen with wood-burning stove, two cellars, and utility/boiler room. There is 18th century oak flooring throughout most of the house.

The master suite with en suite bathroom is on the first floor, as well as an additional bedroom, family bathroom, study, TV room and summer kitchen with garden access.

A magnificent artist’s studio under a lofty pitched roof with beautiful beams, occupies the second floor. New insulation protects against temperature extremes and light is provided by six skylights.  In addition, there are two more bedrooms on this floor.
The walled garden features well established trees and lavish planting, as well as a "cut" (slanted roof) tower, a relic of the town’s original mediaeval ramparts.  Legend has it that the roof was cut and slanted to signify support of the French Revolution’. There is also a double garage with storeroom above.
